How it works
  1. Open this page the same evening rage flares up. By end of the week, you won’t remember what set you off on Monday — so catch it while it’s fresh.
  2. Write what set you off in the left column. Write what crack is underneath in the right column. Don’t edit.
  3. Don’t show these entries to anyone. This is your diary, not a presentation.
  4. Don’t try to fix the crack. Just see it.
  5. After a month, reread the whole list. You’ll probably notice three or four cracks that come back again and again. That’s your map.
What to do with the map
Pick one crack — the most frequent, or the most painful. Just one. Ask yourself: “what’s one small step I can take that would make this crack a little smaller?” Not fix it completely. Not in a week. Just a little smaller.
